Wind energy

There are very few mode of energy generation that actually do not pollute or harm the environment. Renewable source of energy is preferred these days. The uneven heating caused by the sun in earth’s atmosphere creates winds. There is irregularity in surface of earth so wind flow is also comparatively uneven. Wind energy can be used for generating electricity through mechanical strength. Home, schools, business and offices can make use of the wind energy for their day to day activities. Wind turbines are used for electric current generation. The kinetic energy of wind has been used since ancient period. There are many installations in rural areas for pumping and irrigation that use wind energy. Wind energy is not getting most attention reaching 14,000 MW over the globe as the fastest form of renewable source of energy. The wind energy can be explored for many diverse projects in spaces having large open fields and plateaus. The CO2 emissions are considerably lowered when you make use of renewable source of power generation.

Wind turbines with three rotor blades rotate as there is wind flow. Generator is attached to convert the spins into electric energy. Most farms can make full use of the wind energy to their advantage. Wind speed changes and the diameter of rotor changes from 30-90 m and height of the wind electric generators is at height of 25 – 80 m. Mostly negative impact of the methods is not seen. The birds maybe affected due to the gigantic windmills or turbines. Overall landscape or scenery may turn unimpressive with the turbines. Environment friendly form of conservation can bring drastic alterations in the energy deposits for future generation. Renewable sources of energy are being studied so there is more energy to cover the needs of ever increasing population on our planet earth.
